What is an escape room?

You and your group get one hour to escape a themed room. Inside you'll find a series of clues, puzzles, codes and locks to find, solve and unlock in order to crack the mystery and escape in time. Each of our rooms is custom-designed to be challenging, engaging and fun.

Are the rooms private?

Yes. Every room is a private experience at no extra cost — it's just your own group in the room, so you'll never play with strangers.

How many players do we need?

A minimum of 2 players is required for most rooms. If you'd like to play with just one person, payment for 2 tickets is required. Each room has a specified capacity that varies by room and location.

How do I make a reservation?

Book online — click Book Now, then choose your game and time. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. If you'd like a hand, call your location and we'll help. By playing, all players agree to the terms of our waiver.

How early should we arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled game time. When you arrive, your group gets its required pre-game instructions and then your game time begins. If you arrive late you'll have less time to play — the game's end time doesn't change.

Pricing is per player and varies by location: $31.99 in Augusta and Peachtree City, $32.99 in Sandy Springs, and $34.00 at both Schaumburg locations. Children 5 and under play free but must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is free.

Are there any discounts or specials?

Yes — 10% off Sunday–Thursday with code WEEKDAY10, a 10% military discount with valid ID (book by phone), multi-room team-building discounts (10% off for 2 rooms up to 25% off for 5+), and a rebook discount you can ask your Game Master about before you leave. Discounts can't be combined with other offers.

How long is a game?

Every game is 60 minutes. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early so we can check you in and give your pre-game briefing before the clock starts.

What if we get stuck?

Your Game Master monitors your game on surveillance and sends hints over the screen whenever you need them, at no penalty — they're there to help your team have a great hour.

Who will be in the room with us?

Just your group — every game is private. Your Game Master won't be in the room with you, but they'll be monitoring your experience on surveillance and can help you with clues throughout the game, should you need it.

Are the rooms scary? Any special effects?

Some games use special effects like fog machines, and some have tighter spaces or require crouching or crawling between rooms. Several rooms lean suspenseful — Cabin in the Woods, The Shed, Dracula, Graveyard Escape and Zombie Survival Run — while Titanic, Lost in Time and Sorcerer's Secret are great for families. If you have any sensitivities or physical restrictions, call before booking and we'll help you pick the right room.

What's the age policy?

Children 5 and under play free but must be accompanied by an adult. Children 12 and under must have a paying adult in the room, and players under 18 need a parent or guardian to complete the online waiver before arrival.

What's your cancellation policy?

All reservations and sales are final. With at least 48 hours' notice we'll issue a store credit to your Mastermind account; a $25-per-room fee applies to any cancelled or rescheduled game. No refunds are given for late, missed or cancelled games.

Most of our locations are handicap accessible, though not all props or the entirety of every room are. Our Schaumburg location at 1015 E State Pkwy is not handicap accessible. For specific room accommodations, give us a call and our Game Masters will be happy to help.

Can we bring pets?

For the comfort, health and safety of all our guests, pets aren't permitted — but certified service animals are welcome; please let us know in advance when possible.

Yes — an adventure at Mastermind makes a great gift. Click the Gift Card button on a location page and choose the amount and quantity. Gift vouchers never expire, and any unused balance can be used later. Applicable taxes are applied when the voucher is redeemed.
